If you haven't heard—or seen during a recent Nordstrom Rack or Trader Joe's run—the Pier 1 Imports at 555 Ninth Street is closing at the end of June. Until then, everything in the store is on sale (including fixtures) for 40 percent to 50 percent off.
As of yesterday, the shelves were still flush with barware, kitchen goods, and all manner of tchotchkes. Should you plan on making a beeline for the yummy Vanilla Crème candles, err, sorry, a certain reporter we know cleared them out. Good news is the Pier 1 in the Inner Richmond (3535 Geary Blvd) isn't going anywhere.
