Last week the Cinta Aveda Institute (CAI), a leading beauty school and salon, re-opened its Kearny Street doors after a major remodel and expansion. Now, there will be more room for future Serge Normants and Pat McGraths to learn their craft. And you, the general public, get to enjoy a new gorgeous light-filled space, where the deft hands of the school's highly trained students will work their magic. Luxury services include haircuts and color, facials, body treatments, waxing, and more —all at pretty, pretty prices: $18-$24 for a haircut and style, $40 for a 60-minute massage, and $10 for a brow tint.
But those with XY chromosomes truly hit the jackpot, as CAI is the only beauty school in the Bay Area with a luxury barbering curriculum that includes training students on catering to the expectations of a high-end clientele. Think hot-towel service, signature head and shoulder massage, and mini Aveda facials complimentary with every barbering service. A shave or beard trim is $4, a buzz cut is $5, and a barbering haircut is $20. Appointments, right this way...
