Va-Va-Voom! Versace Opens Shop in Silicon Valley

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Score another one for Westfield Valley Fair: Versace just opened its first Bay Area store in the upscale Silicon Valley mall. (Sorry San Francisco, you can't win them all.) The 1,500-square-foot boutique features women's and men's accessories, including handbags, shoes and small leather goods, plus a very limited selection of clothing.

We're currently dying over the leather slip-ons, loafers, killer stiletto booties, and colorful clutches—all adorned with an oversized gold-hardware version of the Versace Medusa-head logo. (We love us some Greek mythology around here at Racked SF.)

Now we know where we will be headed after gorging on hot dogs and watermelon this weekend. You?
