Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Are you up for an awesome Wednesday eve? That would be only if your idea of awesome includes after-hours shopping, sips and sweets, a braid bar and cool jams. Nodding? Then get thee to the W San Francisco for a Summer Fashion Pop-Up on July 22nd, from 6pm to 9pm (head to the UPSTAIRS Bar).
The event is co-hosted by LA-based M Dot Design Studio, known for its limited-run classics with a twist. (We're already eying the Paris Bird Skirt.) Also available for your consuming pleasure: a curated selection of fashion and accessories by Elodie K. Melrose Place, Knockout LA, Leoluca Handbags and Svelte Metals, along with home items from Taschen Books and Robert Siegel.
Also, local stylist and guest of honor Caroline Rooney (pictured above) will be on hand to dole out her pearls of (fashion) wisdom while you shop and nibble on treats from Sift Dessert Bar and get your groove on to sounds by DJ Junkyard Dog. Oh, and that braid bar? It comes courtesy of Bounce Blow Dry Bar—in celebration of the launch of its own pop-up salon, located on the the sixth floor.
The event is free but please RSVP here.
