In between all the picnics, BBQs, park-hopping, ice-cream scarfing, jazz-festival-ing and fireworks-watching, why not get in a little shopping this holiday weekend? After all, 4th of July sales are as American as stars, stripes and Tartine morning buns. (OK, this last one has a bit of a French twist.) Here are a few prime picks to get you started. P.S. Starting today, you'll get 30 percent to 70 percent off current and past-season women's clothing and accessories. Can you say amaze-balls? SOMA—Oh how we love thee, H.D. Buttercup, and your Half-Yearly Sale. Through July 12th, save 20 percent to 70 percent on a huge selection of furniture—modern to vintage, as well as rugs, lighting, and fab accessories you won't find anywhere else. Home design lovers, this is a must-shop (for realz). The store is located at 290 Townsend Street. Did we mention the free parking?

NOE VALLEY—Independence Day is obvi a time to sparkle. And starting today, Gallery of Jewels is happy to help you shine—and save with 20 percent to 50 percent off virtually all designer gems. The sale continues through the end of the month at all three of the retailer's locations: 4089 24^th Street, 427 Post Street and 2115 Fillmore Street. HAYES VALLEY—Talk about fireworks—the already discounted (up to 80 percent off retail) men's and women's clothing at Cary Lane will be marked down an extra 40 percent as part of its Independence Day Sale.
