Robin Williams is being celebrated tomorrow, August 15th, at SoMa StrEat Food Park (428 11th Street). Starting at noon and ending around midnight, the Robin Williams Mini Film Festival will screen five of the Bay Area native's classic flicks, which will play back-to-back. Giggles and tears courtesy of The Birdcage, Dead Poet's Society, Good Will Hunting, Jumanji and Mrs. Doubtfire (not necessarily in that order).
Five dollars gets you access to all films—plus complimentary popcorn. And, surely, you'll want to munch on yummy food-truck grub, too. On tap for the event: Bacon Bacon, Firetrail Pizza, Izzy's Cheesesteaks, Lil Burma, Me So Hungry, Odang Udon and Seoul of Taipei. For the movie schedule, hit up the SoMa StrEat Food Park website.
P.S. Pretty soon (we hear official signage will debut in early fall), you'll be able to pay further tribute to the gentle genius as you drive through the Waldo Robin Williams tunnel. Nanu Nanu.
