Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Through August 17th, MM.LaFleur Bentos to Go will be on the menu at 2120 Union Street in Cow Hollow. Please do not arrive to the pop-up hungry and expecting a Japanese meal of rice, fish and pickled vegetables. Instead, be prepared to create you own delicious work-wear bento box filled with four to six pieces of your choosing. The e-tailer's luxe dresses, skirts, button-downs, trench coats and accessories are sleek, versatile and feature interesting details. (Think an unexpected pleat, a fabulous drape or a quirky-cool collar.)
The temporary shop will open its doors from 11am to 7pm daily throughout its run, and complimentary Blue Bottle and Sonoma Brut will be on hand to wash down your bento. Reservations are encouraged but not necessary.
Also worth penciling in: A Wear to Work party and discussion, co-hosted by company founder/CEO Sarah LaFleur and fashion blogger Anh from 9to5Chic, on August 5th (6pm to 8pm). The bash is a celebration of Sarah's new fashion handbook, which provides tips on how to build a killer wardrobe with minimal effort and zero angst. (Yes, please.) Cocktails and shopping will ensue after the talk. Please RSVP.
