Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Closet feeling like it needs some (new) company? You're in luck, as these shopping events (two in the city, one in Berkeley and one in Sebastopol) are more than happy to oblige. Ready the credit cards...

Steven Alan Optical Shopping Event, Hayes Valley: Friday, January 22nd, 4pm to 7pm. Smitten with all the modern-urbane-with-a-preppy-twist clothes at Steven Alan? (Us, too.) But this night is all about the shades. Light bites and drinks will be served in celebration of the launch of the limited-edition Monroe Flash Mirror sunglasses. Plus, everyone gets 15 percent off all optical purchases during the event. Steven Alan is located at 445 Hayes Street. (Don't go to the Fillmore store by mistake.)

Tamarind Clothing Warehouse Sale, Sebastopol: Friday and Saturday, January 22nd and 23rd, 10am to 6pm. With designer brands like Ulla Johnson, Edith A. Miller, Obakki, Citizens of Humanity, Closed Denim, Tart and Antik Batik on sale for 35 percent to 75 percent off, we'd say a trip to Sonoma is definitely in order. The spacious and modern boutique is beyond shop-worthy. Tamarind is located at 180 Morris Street #170, Sebastopol (in the Barlow Center).

Modern Citizen Biannual Showroom Sale, Cow Hollow: Saturday, January 23rd, 11am to 5pm. This is no joke, ladies: Shop up to 50 percent off bestsellers and editor favorites (including the Milo Wool Wrap Coat), as well as jewelry and accessories. The best part is that you get to shop a week before the sale goes online, at which point things will go quickly. The showroom is located at 2762 Octavia Street.

Glassbaby Seconds Sale, Berkeley: Saturday, January 23rd, 8am to 2pm. Fans of Glassbaby should hit up the Berkeley location for glass votives and drinking glasses that are perfectly imperfect (maybe a slight bubble but still gorgeous). Reduced prices range from $28 to $44—and 10 percent of all sales that day will benefit Glide. Glassbaby Berkeley is located at 745 Heinz Street.
