Boon + Gable's mobile fashion app, which officially launched this very day, takes online styling/clothing delivery service to another level. Unlike some of the companies already out there (a la Stitch Fix and Trunk Club), SF-based B+G doesn't just have IRL personal stylists behind the scenes—they actually show up at your door and, well, style you. Currently, the men's and women's service is available in San Francisco and The Peninsula.
Here's how it works: Download the iOS app, fill out a comprehensive style profile (including your sizes, clothing needs, brands you like and dislike, etc.) and schedule an in-home visit. Your vetted stylist shows up at said time with 20 items selected for you. In a matter of 60 minutes, she'll style each piece with favorite items already in your closet. Pay for what you keep and, voila, fast fashion at its best. If you choose not to buy anything, you owe nada...but where's the fun in that?
A frustrated shopper and busy professional and parent, CEO and co-founder Diane Loviglio was inspired to create Boon + Gable to help others in the same sartorial boat, those looking for a quick, easy and fun way to acquire fabulous new clothes. Check it out, and let us know if you think she succeeded.
Stylists are available seven days a week, 9am to 8:30pm. Hundreds of brands are available including Alexander Wang, Ted Baker, Ray Ban, John Varvatos, Paige Denim, Vince, Madewell and more. Note: Service is free, although items purchased include a 15 percent service fee.
