Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
A facial at SenSpa. Dinner at Presidio Social Club. And now one more reason to hit up the Presidio: Dance-cardio class at The Company (386 Moraga Avenue). Located in the Presidio Performing Arts Center, the just-opened fitness studio is all about the high-intensity workout for all levels of experience.
We can't think of a better place to dance (and sweat) it out than in this lovely light-filled, high-ceilinged 2,500-square-foot space.
Right, about the classes...currently, there are two, each offered twice a week. They include Company 45, the beginner-friendly signature class that includes a quick warm-up and 30 minutes of dance cardio broken into two choreographed segments, and Company 60, a more challenging, fast-paced class with a warm-up, 30 minutes of serious cardio plus 15 minutes of body toning and conditioning.
Think you might get bored? Maybe not, as the routines avoid repetitive movements so you have to focus and listen to the music, which tends to be easier and more enjoyable than some other types of exercise (you know who you are).
There's only one way to find out if you'll groove with The Company. Take a class. Single classes are $20; classes are also available on ClassPass.
And, drumroll please, just for Racked readers, get $20 of any class or package until March 1st. Yes, that means one free class, or three classes for $30. Use code: RACKEDLOVESTHECO at checkout.
