If fear of cold water and great whites is keeping you from hanging 10, head over to Sweat Republic, stat. This ultra-chill studio is known for its Surfset indoor surfing classes. Practice your paddling and pop-ups while getting a killer core workout. And if you wipeout? At least you'll land on the non-shark-infested floor. $25/class.
Part Pilates, part bouncy-cardio party, the beauty of Burn is that it works muscles you never knew you had. After an hour of resistance work with the Pilates springboard, free weights and burpees, you'll see that the workout lives up to its name. $22/class.

House of Air

House of Air is always a blast during open jump time, but you can also visit the Presidio-based spot for its 50-minute "air conditioning" classes. Go for a full body workout that allows you to bounce, fly, and spin while strengthening your core, toning your muscles and burning calories. $18/class.

Aerial Artique

Fitness takes flight at Aerial Artique, the SoMa aerial studio. Sign up for a workshop or drop in for a silks or lyra class to get ripped and learn how to fly. If all goes well, you can run off and join Cirque du Soleil. Added bonus: "I do aerial silks" is a great conversation starter. $35/class.

Thanks to models like Adriana Lima and Gigi Hadid, boxing is having a moment among women who have no plans to ever step into the ring. It's a great way to combine strength and conditioning while blowing off steam, and Hit Fit is one of the coolest, friendliest places where you can give it a try. $30/class
Yeah, your Pilates studio is nice, but is it located in a former church? Head over to the Core40 "Community Center" on Sunday mornings (or any other day) for the popular Megaformer classes. The 40-minute sessions focus on constant tension and slow, controlled movements to make every minute count. When your muscles start quivering, look to the organ or the stained glass window for distraction. $35/class.

Barry's Bootcamp

Burning a thousand calories sounds like a good way to spend an hour, right? So get thee to Barry's!
