Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

You've been counting down to The Big Day since the moment you laid eyes on the engagement ring. Suddenly, it's almost here, and you're about to lose it if you have to look at one more flower, table linen or place setting. You'd be really down with some down time. Luckily, a luxurious spa day is also the perfect way to celebrate with your bridesmaids. Check out these five spots for a bachelorette party that will provide unparalleled unwinding. It's way better than nursing a hangover after a night at Asia SF.

Each of these beauty sanctuaries accepts parties with a reservation, and most allow food, drinks, balloons, etc.—whatever you need to make your day special. Keep in mind that nail services are great to do the day of or before your ceremony, but you'll want to take care of others, such as waxing, massage or spray tans, a few days prior.Anne Jude Kiesow

Tucked away on Maiden Lane, this express spa is a favorite Financial District escape. The upstairs area is huge, bright and sunny—and perfect for parties. The staff is knowledgeable and professional while remaining warm and friendly. Don’t miss their spray tan or lash extension services (but we recommend giving both a trial run a few weeks before your wedding day).

Imperial Day Spa

Korean spas can be intimidating to a newbie, but a session at Imperial will leave your skin absolutely amazing. Not your traditional spa experience, save the chatting and sipping champagne for afterwards. You will be stripped down and scrubbed all over, followed by a deep massage (think: therapist walking across your back). But there's plenty of room to lounge with your ladies between treatments.

Nob Hill Spa at the Huntington Hotel

Perhaps the most well-known spa in SF, this lavish retreat offers use of the hot tub, pool, saunas and steam rooms for guests receiving services. You can easily spend the day relaxing post-treatment on the pool patio; wine and food are also available for purchase from the hotel.

Beauty Company

This is more of a beauty destination than a full-fledged spa, but the Russian Hill gem features a cozy nail lounge complete with overstuffed armchairs and a vast collection of OPI, Essie, Butter London and Floss Gloss polishes to choose from. Also a fully-stocked retail store, this spot provides complimentary goodie bags full of samples for parties of 10 or more.
This Presidio spa is dedicated to a holistic approach to beauty and health, featuring treatments such as acupuncture, lymphatic massage and cupping (of Jen Aniston fame). Senspa's therapists will align the chakras of any bride-to-be.
