Our pals over at Eater SF have mapped out the best juice bars in the city, for your drinking pleasure. For those of you who plan to cleanse away the sins of 2013, enjoy. Anyone who just likes to sip an organic beverage now and again will also appreciate this juicy list.
This standby has two Mission locations (21st and Valencia and 24th and Folsom), and the fresh juices and smoothie menu have thirsty fans swooning, with drinks like the Green Energy smoothie and Almond Delight.
This pop-up turns Range into a fresh juicery between 9am and 3pm daily (except Mondays). Look for their signature Refresh and So Clean, Clean juice with watermelon, cucumber and mint.
Los Angeles born Pressed Juicery has locations all around town, from Noe Valley to Union St. to the Ferry Building and Westfield Mall. Drop in for a taste of their signature juice cleanses, which combine citrus refreshers like apple, lemon, pineapple and mint juice with heavy-duty veggie blends like kale, spinach, romaine, parsley, cucumber, celery and apple.
Organic and cold-pressed each morning in their Cortland Ave. kitchen, Living Greens has expanded their reach to, you guessed it, the FiDi, adding more fresh juice to your weekday work break.
Juice Shop has garnered followers for its convenient locations (including a Hayes Valley juice truck), cute glass pints and flavors like the A+ Green (apple, kale, romaine, parsley, spinach, cucumber, celery
and lemon).
Get hooked with Project Juice's blends, like the refreshing Potion #10 (pineapple, pear, cucumber, kale, spinach, romaine, parsley, ginger, turmeric and lime).
Whether you're looking to cleanse or just grab a quick drink, Thrive offers everything from Cozy Cashew (raw cashew, vanilla, cinnamon, agave, filtered water) to Fennominal Greens
(fennel, apple, cucumber, mint) to healthy soups and vegan bites.
Squeezed in Berkeley, these newcomers now stage weekday pop-ups out of Hops & Hominy and Hillside Supper Club. Look for unique blends like carrot, satsuma and turmeric and apple, grapefruit and burdock.
Long a fixture on the pop-up circuit, Sōw has transitioned away from wine bar appearances and is now available for order through Good Eggs, as well as at the Ferry Building farmers markets.
Another juice outfit for the Marina crowd, this spot sports a variety of juices, from all-vegetable to fruit blends to lemonades and nut milks and smoothies.
Native Juice wisely nabbed "You've Got Kale" and "Kale in Comparison" puns for their heartier veggie juices, but "Peach for the Stars" (peach, strawberry, banana,
basil and coconut milk) is no slouch, either.
An Outer Sunset outpost of juice-forward fare, Judahlicious offers creative juices like "Garden Fire" (greens, celery, lemon, cayenne pepper, bee pollen, and apple cider vinegar), plus smoothies and vegan eats.
