Forget that nonsense about eyes being the windows to the soul. If you want to know what kind of person you're dealing with, look no further than the feet. That woman wobbling in too-tight stilettos? Too impatient to wait for her shoes to be stretched. The man with scuffs on his horse-bit loafers? Careless.

Of course, that means that others might be judging you based on your shoes. Fear not. San Francisco has a fleet of fine cobblers who can land a hand, whether you're looking to break shoes in or put them back together.
