The official-official start to summer is almost here (June 21st lest you forget). In San Francisco that means cone after cone of drippy Humphry Slocombe Secret Breakfast ice cream, toasty cardis layered over hopeful sundresses, and countless weekends of festival-hopping. But, alas, it also means—cue scary music—the time for the so-not-fun bikini wax has arrived.

Most of us dread landscaping our nether regions—but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. And let's be real, the Coppola pool is not exactly kind to the unwaxed. Ergo, this helpful guide/map to SF's best spots for bikini waxing; salons are listed alphabetically. Now just groom and bear it.
